10 secrets of Virgin Mary

Virgin Mary appeared to six young people in 1981 in Medjugorje and told these six visionaries that She would give them 10 secrets. Many people talked many times, and still are talking about these ten secrets, even if it is known only a little bit about them. The visionaries are allowed to share only a few facts about the secrets, they say that the rest is a ‘secret’. We have investigated a lot and put together as much information as possible about the secrets, but it still is not everything we want to know about them. We want to know how important the secrets are for Our Lady’s plan to change humans faith, make them convert, and save all of us.

When Blessed Mother Mary told the six visionaries in Medjugorje about the 10 secrets she also told them that the contents of these secrets have to be hidden. She will tell them when the secrets should be revealed one by one. Mirjana, one of the six visionaries has been chosen by Virgin Mary to bear responsibility of helping to reveal the secrets when the time has come.

After the apparitions have begun and people have heard about the secrets the visionaries have been asked million times numerous questions about these Ten Secrets. But their answer was always the same : “A secret is a secret.” They are willing to share only somewhat about them. However, we do have some insights about the secrets of Medjugorje.

Mirjana, one of the six visionaries, was the first visionary who received all Ten Secrets. Blessed Mother Mary gave Mirjana a parchment with all secrets written on them. This parchment is made of an unknown material, like it is not of this world . Mirjana was not married at this time and living in Sarajevo with her family. Mirjana was asked numerous times about this parchment which was given to her by Our Lady.

Our question was: “Would you tell us more about the parchment that contains the secrets?

Mirjana’s answer was: “On this parchment I have ten secrets, with the dates and the places where they are going to take place. I was told to give it to a priest of my choice. Ten days before the secret should be revealed, I will give this paper to him. He will only be able to see the secret that is going to happen at this time. He will pray and fast on bread and water. On the third day before the secret is divulged, he will make it public – what will happen and where it will happen. This should be convincing that Our Lady was here and that she still is here and that She did not call us in vain to peace, to love, to conversion.”

The priest who has been chosen by Mirjana was Fr. Petar Ljubicic. He is the one who will reveal all Ten Secrets, one by one. Mirjana has stated that Fr. Petar doesn’t have the choice whether he will reveal the secrets or won’t. He has to do it, it doesn’t what they are about. And of course he has accepted this responsibility and he will fulfill it.

Three of the Medjugorje visionaries, Mirjana, Ivanka, and Jakov, have received all ten secrets and the daily apparitions stoped after that. Mirjana received the last one on December 25th in 1982, and Our Lady promised to appear to her every March 18th each year for the rest of her life and She also appears to her every 2nd of each month since 1987. Ivanka received the last secret on May 6th in 1985 and the last daily apparition of Virgin Mary was the following day. Our Lady promised her that She will have annual apparitions on each anniversary of the apparitions, June 25th , for the rest of her life. Jakov received the tenth secret on September 12th in 1998. Our Lady told him that she will appear to him every December 25th, on Christmas Day.
